AS previewed in last week's paper Inverurie Locos long serving official Eddie Innes was up for election at the Scottish Highland Football League AGM as President on Tuesday night at Lossiemouth.
And by a decent majority he defeated David Brown of Deveronvale who had served under Sandy Stables in the previous regime.

There are new faces coming in to the senior and junior Vice President slots with Clach's Gilbert Skinner and Fraserburgh's
Finlay Noble filling those respective roles.

In confirming his post , Mr Innes, who will still maintain his 32 years service as an official of Locos said: "I am delighted to be in a position to serve the Highland League and all 18 clubs including three new entrants at this time. I am really looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead and I am sure that having the experience of Gilbert and Finlay will be a huge help as well. I can't wait to get going."

Meanwhile, in next week's paper there will be a summary of the key points from the Locos forum including Interim Chairman Willie Lippe's analysis of the feasibility study into Locos potentially moving to a new location in Inverurie.

We will look back on the great service given to the club by Ian McKay and Ian Duguid who have stepped down from their roles in the management team for personal reasons.

And, volunteers are requested to help at the ground to assist with summer ground maintenance work on the nights of Monday, June 8, June 15 and June 22 from 6pm-9pm.
