THE month of April got even better for local swimming star Hannah Miley as she returned from the World Short Course Swimming Championships with another two medals, a sliver and bronze, to add to her growing collection of awards.
Hannah, who has been dubbed "Smiley Miley" by the national media due to her bubbly personality, became the second fastest woman in the world in the 400m Individual Medley pushing Olympic medallist Kirsty Coventry of Zimbabwe very close to win silver.

After breaking the British record in the heats Hannah broke the six year old European record, finishing in 4:27.27. It was also Hannah's first ever international medal.

Later in the week Hannah also took part in the 200m Individual Medley, and despite not having the best of starts, she moved up through the field to finish strongly claiming the bronze medal in a time of 2:08.79, breaking the 11 year old British record in the process.
Hannah has already been selected to represent Great Britain at this year's Olympic Games in Beijing.
