After the match a delighted First Team Coach Iain Alexander said, “It was very pleasing, the goals have been spread about the whole season, but we did make hard work of it in the first half.

“With regard to their penalty miss, I used to take penalties myself. If you miss it’s down as a bad penalty, if the keeper goes the other way it’s a good penalty. The penalty would have given Huntly a huge momentum swing.

“We went two-up early but up to half time I thought Huntly were the better side. We had started so well in the first ten minutes but Gauldy won’t have enjoyed his miss on the SHFL TV highlights, it should’ve been put away. One thing about Neil is he keeps his head up and gets his inevitable goal in the end

“We’re looking forward to playing Clach at home on Saturday, we’re unbeaten since losing to Buckie Thistle, we need to keep it going, match the results of the teams above us and we still have the likes of the Broras and Coves to play”
