After the match Scott Buchan, Co-Manager, Inverurie Locos said, “If I’m being honest, I don’t think Formartine had many chances. I can remember Andy Reid having one save in the second half.

“They had a bit of possession to be fair, I don’t know if it was offside or not but it was definitely a foul on Neil Gauld at the start of the move. We were a bit aggrieved about that. 1-1 is probably a fair result

“I wish I could say it was by plan we caught them cold at the start of the second half, it was just a good bit of quality from John Maitland, whipped his shot in on goal, it’s rebounded off the junction of post and crossbar. Martin Bavidge has been alert to it, he’s got in there and finished it off. I kind of hoped we’d be able to kick on from that. I said to the guys I wished they’d had a bit of belief about themselves

“We can come here and win, we’ve done it already, there’s no two doubts we can do it. Formartine definitely came back into the game without creating a helluva lot from it, a bit of possession, they scored in the end. “We all know you’d probably back Gauldy to score in a one-on-one, he has hit the target, Andy Shearer’s had a good save out of it, but when he hit it I thought it was going in. Neil’s unfortunate with that, if it had gone to 2-0 we’d have won the game and been quite comfortable.

“It’ll be another good game on Saturday, obviously they’ll have Gary Clark missing, we’ll perhaps have one or two missing as well.”
