INSCH FC Amateur goalkeeper and one of Colony Park’s goalkeeping coaches, Errol Watson has been at Torryglen recently to be assessed for his Level 3 Certificate.

This 12-hour non-residential qualification assesses competence based on the Goalkeeping Intermediate Certificate. Candidates must be in possession of this licence prior to applying for the Advanced Goalkeeping Introductory Course. The next step (Advanced Goalkeeping) is a four-day course aimed at specialist goalkeeping coaches working with senior goalkeepers.

Theoretical input includes physical preparation, diet and nutrition, psychology and management techniques. Errol, who also assists Jim Leighton and the Just4Keepers group will take some time before applying for this Level 4 course, and at the time of going to press Errol has just signed for Highland League outfit Lossiemouth.
