Colony Locos seal A League football with victory over Ellon

Colony Locos 19s were in action against Ellon United to determine who would play in the A League this season.

Both teams started off 
positively and created a 
few chances and it was 
Colony who took the lead 
in twenty minutes when 
Dale Rennie was fouled in the box.

The defender was red carded and Mike DONALDSON scored the resulting penalty. Five minutes later they made it 2-0 when a 
Matthew Douglas through ball released DONALDSON who scored his second. 
DONALDSON got his hat trick with thirty minutes gone when he scored 
a direct free kick from outside the box. He then became provider when his pass was picked up in the box by DOUGLAS and he rounded the keeper before 
slotting in.

Just on half time Colony got goal number five when a Mark Aitken pass released Finlay WATSON and he fired home from 12 yards.

Into the second half and Ellon, who despite being a man down never gave up, were rewarded with a goal inside the first few minutes. Mid way through the half Craig Mackie broke on the right and his driven cross rebounded to Darren MANSON who knocked it in.

Ben Green saw his flying header rebound off the bar before another Mackie cross found Danny WATT who finished well. With five minutes remaining WATT got his second when his cross cum shot beat the keeper at the near post. In the final seconds Ellon got a second consolation goal to make the final score Colony Locos 8 Ellon United 2.
