Last week saw the latest planning meeting between SHFL, SFA, SSFA representatives and Inverurie Loco Works officials to firm up on plans for next month’s Schoolboy international to be held in the north east.

Locos Secretary, Billy Thomson, said: “Plans are well underway ahead of the Centenary Shield International Match between Scottish Schools and Welsh Schools.”

The match will be played at Inverurie Loco Works’ Harlaw Park ground on Thursday, March 24, with kick-off at 7.30pm.

Admission is free for accompanied schoolchildren and only £5 for adults.

More information will be posted on the Loco Works media sites in due course.

Locos Club captain Neil McLean, a former youth international, has been named as match ambassador.
