Colony Park’s under-15s have been supplied with new kit bags by housebuilder Dandara.

The 19-strong squad is part of the largest youth football club in the region, with hundreds of young players aged six to 19 competing in the Aberdeen and District Juvenile Football Association development leagues.

The kit bags will be used in training sessions at Garioch Sports Centre, when travelling to away games and co-ordinates with the team’s training kit, which was supplied by Dandara last year.

Stuart Cheyne, under-15 team coach, said: “We are so grateful for Dandara’s support in sponsoring our U15 Colony Park boys’ team. “We’ve got a great squad of lads who really enjoy playing football competitively and we’re always trying to fundraise to provide the facilities and equipment necessary for them to get the best out of the sport.

“The team performed exceptionally well last season finishing fourth in what was a very close league. They were undefeated in their last nine matches, home and away, and were unbeaten at home in league competition.

“They have strengthened their squad and are in a great position for starting off the new league and cup competitions.”

Colony Park has invested significantly in coaching training and has received the Quality Mark Award from the Scottish Football Association, in recognition of the club’s commitment to increasing youth and community participation in sport.

Peter Best, head of sales for Dandara in Aberdeen said: “Colony Park Football Club is committed to developing the talent and sportsmanship of young people in the community so we’re thrilled to offer them our support. We wish the under-15s the best of luck this season.”
