INVERURIE Loco Works have placed goalkeeper Andy Reid and defender Keith Thomson on the transfer list at their own request, although co-manager Scott Buchan feels that both are bound for clubs outwith the SHFL.
At a recent Fans Forum questions were asked about the 27 year old keeper Andy Reid and it was confirmed that he was contracted for another year, however the fans favourite has had a difficult season with a number of red cards and is looking for a fresh challenge after four seasons at Harlaw Park.
Co-manager Scott Buchan expressed disappointment with the news and reckoned that there would be interest from Scottish league clubs for the former Nottingham Forrest, Hibs, Montrose and Forfar keeper. Reid has the distinction of being the most utilised player in the league during his first two season and had four goals to his credit as well as being the second highest rated player in the league during both campaigns. Reid’s decision comes as a blow to the Club but it is felt they can do little other than await interest from other clubs.
Full back Keith Thomson joins Reid on the list although he looks set for a return to the North Junior ranks as the his work schedule has made the demands of travelling too great and he needs a football schedule that will work with his work patterns.
