Inverurie Locos recorded their third win over Keith this season with a comfortable 4-0 success at Kynoch Park on Saturday.
Locos have bounced back from their Aberdeenshire Cup final disappointment with two wins and two clean sheets.
Co-boss Scott Buchan described it as a good team performance and praised the reaction to the cup defeat.
Locos stamped their authority early on with a goal in five minutes.
McCabe raced through to slot the ball past Daniel Bell.
The young attacker also hit the bar with a header and the keeper saved a certain goal by Neil McLean.
However, the Inverurie side had to wait until the 57th minute to add to their lead.
It came from an unchallenged header from Stephen Jeffrey as the home club struggled to make any impact on the game.
Locos added a third in the 68th minute through McCabe.
The best the Maroons could come up with was a Matty McDonald shot with five minutes remaining which was kept out by Scott Mathieson and Ryan Spink couldn’t force the loose ball home.
Locos scored a fourth in the final minute when Keith were down to 10 men through an injury to substitute Greg Smith.
Martin Bavidge raced clear virtually unchallenged to hammer the ball past Bell.
