EX Aberdeen FC player Andy Roddie ,(40) , has this week joined Colony Park Juniors as Co-Manager with Charlie Ferries.

Speaking ahead of this weeks friendly with Neil Cooper’s Dons U20 side Colony Park President Allan Booth welcomed Andy to Colony Park, “Charlie is delighted to have Andy as Co-Manager to share the work of taking the Inverurie team forward and I’m hopeful their contrasting styles and approaches to the game will make for a good management team.

“Our Committee would also like to bring a coach on board since Chris Garden has had to take time out for work and family reasons but meantime we are sure Andy will do a great job developing our young side.”

The former Under 21 International had spells with the Dons and Motherwell before taking his career overseas and after a successful spell at Peterhead finished his career at Locos.

Allan added “For the last six years Andy has been doing some great work in Juvenile football developing Kintore United so we are sure he will know how to bring young players through the ranks and his experience will be an asset to the club.”

The Juniors kick of their season for real on Saturday at home against RAF Lossiemouth in the league before a series of Grill League Cup matches in August.
