Sponsor boost for Colony

Inverurie’s Colony Park FC Under 16s team have struck a sponsorship deal with local pipeline engineering firm STATS Group.

The Colony Park side, who compete in the Aberdeen and District Juvenile Football League, will have their club tracksuits sponsored for the next two seasons.Team manager, Derek Smart, said: “Sponsorship and ongoing support from local businesses is important to any youth sports team and we are delighted STATS Group has decided to sponsor Colony Park FC.”

The 18-strong squad, captained by Nathan May, is coached by Neil Littlejohn, Jim Hay and Alan Gordon.

STATS Group director, Lorraine Porter, said: “As a business employing 140 people, many of them living locally in and around Inverurie, we think it is important to play a role in the local community and this type of sponsorship fits that criteria.”

STATS Group is based in Kintore and designs, manufactures and installs a range of pipeline isolation tools and equipment which is deployed widely in the North Sea and international oil and gas regions.
