First year Aberdeen University student Martin Laing is looking forward to his time with new club Inverurie Locos after joining from Clachnacuddin on a two and a half year deal.
The attacking midfielder came on as a substitute against Turriff Utd last Wednesday then at half time against Fraserburgh. However he could not spark a goal or win on either occasion.
Laing seems to have been around the Highland scene for many years but only turns 21 at the start of December. He was on the books of Inverness Caley Thistle for over 11 years.
Commenting on his matches so far for Locos, Martin said, “It was a tough game against Turriff in tough conditions, I thought the boys did well but we didn’t have the end product. We got into good positions but couldn’t achieve the final ball. I know a fair bit about my team mates and it’s a really good set up, I’m looking forward to a new challenge and to help them as much as I can
“Saturday’s game against Fraserburgh, although goalless, was a good game, the boys put in a good performance we were just unfortunate to have Ryan Broadhurst sent off late on.”
