Weakened Colony Park U15s lose out in seven goal thriller

Colony Park U15s travelled to Peterhead missing five players due to holidays and injuries.

WATSON and CRAIGEN gave Colony a two goal lead before Peterhead pulled one back through a debatable penalty. In the second half Peterhead levelled before going ahead with 10 minutes left. COOPER equalised from the penalty spot, only for Peterhead to clinch a 4-3 win with two minutes to go.

League leaders Fraserburgh Link-up were Colony Park U14s opposition at the Garioch Sports Centre, and despite pushing the top placed side close, went down 2-0.

The U14 Colts played host to Turriff, and in a very completive match CLARK and REID gave the home side a 2-0 lead. Turriff levelled with goals either side of half-time, before BEVERLEY restored the Colts lead. Turriff proved to be the hungrier side and two late goals gave them a 4-3 victory.

The U13 Colts took on Culter who scored first, playing with a strong wind, and held the advantage until half-time. Colts pressed hard, but were caught out against the run of play to go two behind. WALKER pulled one back almost immediately, and Colts should have had a penalty to level, before a late Culter sucker-punch finished the match 3-1.
