Garioch Gymnasts who took part in the Scottish Beginners and Intermediate Competition in Perth.

GARIOCH gymnastics club excelled at the recent Scottish Beginners and Intermediate Competition held in the Bells Sports Centre, Perth on Saturday (November 17).

26 gymnasts came home with 24 medals and huge congratulations to the gymnasts and their coaches.

Results:

8yrs Bginners: Team Silver: Amy Stewart, Sophie Norris. Aicha Sutcliffe and Eloise Williams

Eloise Williams: Gold Overall, Gold Floor; Amy Stewart: Silver Overall, Silver Floor

8yrs Intermediate: Olivia Allan-Cook: Gold Overall, Gold Floor

9yrs Beginners: Team Bronze: Amie MacDonald, Faye Mark, Abbie Gordon and Annabelle Wright

Team 7th: Kaili Ziegler, Megan Cruickshank and Jodie Bain

Annabelle Wright: 5th Overall; Faye Mark: Gold Floor

10/11 Beginners: Team Silver: Lauren Masson, Lexie Habiby, Megan Lawrence and Courtney Gilbert

Team 9th: Louise Ross, Eve Burnett and Erin Smith

Courtney Gilbert: Bronze Overall, Gold Floor; Lauren Masson: Bronze Vault

10/11 Intermediate: Ellie Mackie

12+ Beginners: Team 6th: Georgia Simpson, Rachel Morrison, Meg Sutherland and Leanne Walker

Rachel Morrison: Silver Floor

12+ Intermediate: Erika Thom: 6th Overall, Bronze Floor

Two gymnasts from Garioch Gymnastics Club travelled to Aldershot with Senior coach, Emily Bull, to the British Junior Challenge Cup, final British Competition of the year. The gymnasts, Beth McCaw (14) from Kingswells and Kerry Smith (14) from Collieston both performed extremely well at the competition.

Although neither medalled, they both posted some excellent scores while competing some new skills for the first time.
