*CONGRATULATIONS go to the Kellands Primary School Badminton Team who won the “B Category” in the Aberdeenshire Primary Schools Quaich tournament at Portlethen Academy on Sunday (January 22).

Andrew Thomson won all his singles matches only conceding 14 out of a possible 75 points, whilst Katie Grant won four of her five singles matches.

The other seven pupils Callum Seymour, Ross Thomson, Jamie Reid, Callum Taylor, Amy Norval, Chloe Maconachie and Megan Stewart were all representing the school in the doubles events (boys, girls and mixed), winning thirteen of their fifteen matches played.

The other schools taking part were Glenbervie, Kineff, Arduthie, Mill of Forest and Johnshaven. The children all performed well, especially as some of them are new to the sport, and made many new friends on the day.
