Challenging conditions at Loch Insch

TEMPERATURES have not improved this week at Loch Insch Fishery, so finding the right depth has been our anglers biggest challenge.

Best results this week were; Tim Wright from Buckie with nine rainbows, the best weighing in at 8lbs, falling to an olive WSW. J. Allen from Aberdeen also released nine fish, with a best of 8lbs.

Diawl Bach and Black Pennel were Harry Kemp from Kingswells favoured flies as he returned six including a nice 6lb fish. A. Clark from Huntly returned five caught on various flies, and T. Gullett from Aberdeen kept two for 6lbs, taken on Buzzers and a Sedge.

M. Eliades all the way from Watford kept three nice 3lb fish which all fell to a brown Parachute fly, and M. Murphy up from Lanarkshire kept two for 8lbs on a Yellow Rabbit.

A nice 4lb 4oz rainbow trout fell to a vistor from Netherlands, R. Rink from Amsterdam using a WSW.
