Garioch Rugby Club took part in a friendly match against Alloa Rugby Club on Saturday, (August 16), as part of a series of pre-season warm-ups.

Garioch showed great determination throughout the game with a few players playing their first match for the team.

Garioch Rugby Club, is based at Kellands Park, are currently recruiting for new and returning players with training sessions being held on Tuesday and Thursday evening from 7pm.

Garioch’s first home game of the season is against Loachaber on Saturday, September 20, at 3pm.

The day also marks the 25th anniversary of the teams club house and a series of events are planned for Kellands Park on the day. Starting off with children’s activities in the morning, the “older” Garioch gents playing against the “younger” Garioch youth team at noon, the Garioch Ladies then take on Inverness Dunain Rugby Club at 1pm, followed by the final game of the day at 3pm when the Garioch 1st XV take on Loachaber. A barbecue will also be running all afternoon.
