Milder temperatures at Loch Insch

Milder temperatures again this week at Loch Insch Fishery, and enjoyment was had nearer the surface.

Rab Bell from Dumfrieshire continued where he left off last week with catches of 12 and 18 on his last two days, caravanning at Loch Insch fishery. His home tied Gold Ribbed Hares Ear flies were certainly doing the business just below the surface.

Charlie McPhee from Peterhead fished well, releasing 11 on various flies, Donald Graham from Cults released seven, keeping 3 for 8lbs. Bill Campbell and Doug Low from Aberdeen both had seven each fishing various flies and Jim Breen from Aberdeen, kept three weighing in at 11lbs 2oz, all caught on a White Fritz.

Stuart Linton released six caught on a Diawl Bach, Jim Mitchell from Aberdeen kept three of his bag for 12lbs 7oz all caught on a White Fritz. J. Graham of Elgin had five on a white Bunny Leech and L. Yule from Aberdeen kept a lovely 5lb rainbow also caught on a white Bunny.
