Ellon Bowling Club member Phil Anderson walked away with the championship title after defeating Arthur Robertson 21-4 in this year’s final.
Ahead of the final he won 21-3 against Bill Christie, 21-11 againsst Alistair Campbell, 21-18 to Craig Dinnes and 21-20 to Charlie Singer.
Phil said: “I have been bowling for 21 years and it has always been my goal to become club champion. At the start of the year I wrote down my goals for the year and this was at the top of my priorities. I have played less matches this season due to my twins being born in December however I have practiced much more this season and it has paid off.
“To win the singles in the centenary season also makes the victory a bit more special and I am looking forward to representing the club in next years district singles.”
