LOCAL motor racing ace Glynn Geddie breathed new life into his Porsche Carrera Cup challenge with a solid weekend of racing at Croft.
The 22-year-old, who has suffered an indifferent start to the season, finished fourth in the first race from fifth on the grid.
In the second race of the weekend reigning British GT champion Geddie qualified in sixth and held that position until the end.
The British Racing Drivers’ Club rising star now has more than a month off ahead of the next Porsche Carrera Cup meeting at Snetterton at the start of August.
“My drives were more solid than spectacular but it was important to get back on track even though it would have been nice to have secured a podium place,” said Geddie.
“But it’s given me a bit of a confidence boost at a vital time in the campaign and I’m now looking to kick on in the second half of the season.
“It is also nice to head into the break on the back of a decent weekend of racing although I’m still a bit off the pace in terms of the overall leaders.
“I’ll now be looking to clock up more laps in a few mid season tests as I’m always keen to improve my level of performance.”
