Trophy success for Garioch swimmers

GARIOCH Amateur Swimming Club triumphed at the Buckie Age Group Meet held on Saturday (April 21) and Sunday (April 22) where they regained the ‘Wynn Trophy’ finishing in first place overall.

The following swimmers won medals in their age group categories:

Sarah Smith (17): Gold: 200 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 fly; Silver: 100 backstroke, 200 fly, 200 backstroke.

Clara Douglas (16): Gold: 400 freestyle, 200 breaststroke, 400 IM; Bronze 200 fly, 100 breaststroke.

Findlay Douglas (14): Gold: 100 backstroke; Silver: 200 IM, 400 freestyle; Bronze 200 backstroke.

Peter Holmes (14): Silver: 100 breaststroke, 200 freestyle; Bronze: 400 IM, 100 freestyle.

Hazel Johnston (14): Silver: 100 fly; Bronze: 100 freestyle, 200 IM.

Jessica Thomson (13): Gold: 400 freestyle, 200 fly; Silver: 200 freestyle, 200 breaststroke; Bronze: 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 fly.

Spencer O’Grady (12): Gold: 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke.

Shannon Crawford (12): Silver: 200 backstroke; Bronze: 100 backstroke.

Stuart Seymour (11): Gold 200 IM, 400freestyle, 100 fly, 200 backstroke; Silver: 100 backstroke, 100 freestyle, 100 breaststroke; Bronze: 200 breaststroke.

Rebecca Eggeling (11): Gold: 200 backstroke; Silver: 100 freestyle, 200 IM, 100 fly.

Louis Zeegers (11): Silver: 200 freestyle; Bronze: 200 backstroke.

Chloe Grant (11): Silver: 100 backstroke.

Christy Johnston (13); Heather McIntosh (12); Daniel McKenzie (12); Daniel McNally (12); Sophie McPhee (12); Caitlin O’Shaughnessy (12) and Megan Brown (11) all achieved incredible personal best times to make this another successful meet.
