Cock & Bull in culinary finals

The Cock and Bull Restaurant in Balmedie is celebrating this week after reaching the finals of the Scottish Entertainment Guide Awards to be held in Glasgow next month.

The Scottish general public have been voting over the past three months for their favourite venues throughout Scotland with 30,000 votes being cast.

Manager James Forbes and Head Chef Michael Middleton have built up a great partnership at the helm of the popular restaurant and have won many accolades in the three years they have been working together including Trend Magazine’s Divine Dining Award and Scottish Gastropub of the Year 2012.

Mr Forbes attributes the restaurant’s success to a friendly and dedicated team who always strive to provide a welcoming atmosphere.

Chef Michael uses only fresh, local produce in his seasonal menu and has kept the same kitchen brigade for the past three years which provides the consistently high standards set at The Cock and Bull.

Mr Forbes commented: “We now look forward to what will be one of the biggest nights in the Scottish hospitality calendar”.
