Remember The Beautiful South who had a string of hits during the 90s and early 2000s...well Aberdeen fans are for a treat later this year.

Due to phenomenal demand former band members Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott have added new dates to their upcoming autumn tour – including a gig at Aberdeen’s Music Hall on Friday, November 21.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday) online at www.aberdeenperformingarts.com, by phone at 01224 641122 and at Aberdeen Box Office at the Music Hall and His Majesty’s Theatre.

The Aberdeen concert was one of five dates added to Paul and Jacqui’s successful tour following the release of the new album What Have We Become.

It’s their first album since the multi-million selling days of The Beautiful South.

The record has been a triumph, both critically and commercially, going straight in the charts at Number 3 on release.

Their new single, Moulding Of A Fool, is described as a brilliant Northern Soul stomper, richly melodic and lyrically full of Heaton’s trademark wit and social observations and is to be released on July 21.

The Beautiful South was formed at the end of the 1980s by two former members of Hull group The Housemartins, Heaton and Dave Hemingway, both of whom performed lead and backing vocals.
