Ailsa Davidson is home to raise money for the charity, with a one-off show at Banchory Lodge.

The showbiz Sunday lunch sees Ailsa, who played Aladdin in last year’s show at Inverurie Town Hall, perform alongside Les Miserables star Ian Pirie, Phantom of the Opera star Richard Knight and Mel Allen of Aberdeen Youth Music Theatre, accompanied by top Aberdeen singing teacher and choreographer Rhonda Scott as musical director.

Ailsa is studying musical theatre at Guildford. She returns home for Christmas to see mum Susan, and dad Gavin Davidson, who is currently starring as the dame in Sleeping Beauty at Inverurie Town Hall.

The Sunday lunch with the stars, on Sunday, December 30, will be a red carpet affair followed by Sunday roast, songs around the grand piano and afternoon tea, all to raise money for the Bling Fling charities, Breast Cancer Research and Archway.

The event was dreamed up by West End star Ian Pirie, who grew up in Aberdeen, along with Bling Fling co-founders Sonja Rasmussen and Janine Davies and Banchory Lodge owner Carol Fowler.

Ailsa was also happy to join the line-up. She said: “When I was four I was Sonja’s flower girl. She has always been around to watch me growing up and even since she had cancer, I’ve wanted to help with the Bling Fling, but I always seemed to be in a show around the time it was on.”

Ailsa was starring in Singing In The Rain at His Majesty’s Theatre during the Bling Fling fundraising walk and party.

The young singer said: “It will be lovely to sing with Ian. I saw him performing when I was a little girl and I know he has done a lot in the West End and on film.”

Tickets, with reception drink, meal and afternoon tea included, are £40 each. All proceeds will go to the Bling Fling Charities. Contact enquiries@blingfling.org or Banchory Lodge on (01330)822625 to book your table now.
