LOCAL Inverurie firm Ola Oils, producers of extra virgin cold pressed rapeseed oil, will launch their brand new product, Ola Aioli, a very garlicky mayonnaise, at Taste of Grampian, this Saturday, June 2.

Ola say that their new product Aioli combines the taste and health benefits of Ola Oil with free range eggs and toasted garlic pieces to give a rich, luxurious accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes.

Connie Sorrie of Ola Oils said: “We’d considered making a more traditional mayonnaise but when we started development, the aioli had a far nicer flavour and the toasted garlic pieces give a lovely, slightly sweet taste. We’ve been trialling various versions of Ola Aioli and think we’ve really got the flavour and texture right: in fact, we’ve be struggling to find many foods it doesn’t make an ideal accompaniment to! It’s great on its own as a dip too.

“Ola Aioli will be launched on our stand at Taste of Grampian, on Saturday. This year, we’ve moved our stand location; we’d previously been in the balcony area but were running out of space so this year we’ll be downstairs in the main concourse area at stand number 104. We’ll have all our products on offer and also have tasters of all the products; hopefully everyone finds Ola Aioli as delicious as we do!”

Ola Oils are Scotland’s original producers of cold pressed, extra virgin rapeseed oil. Ola Oil has half the saturated fat of olive oil, ten times the level of Omega 3 and is rich in natural vitamin E. Its high smoke point makes it ideal for all types of cooking. In addition to regular Ola Oil, the range includes infused Ola Oils: Garlic, Lemon, Basil, Chilli and Rosemary, a range of salad dressings, Ola Oatcakes and Ola Chilli Jam, all produced locally.
