A fundraising walk has been organised for September to raise money for a cancer support charity.

The Purple Walk, a 10k walk around Kemnay, including the Place of Origin, will be held on Sunday, September 4, at 10am.

The event is open to all men, women and children capable of walking the 10k distance.

A warm up session will begin prior to the walk at 10am in Bogbeth Park, Kemnay but those attending are asked to arrive in plenty of time before hand to confirm your attendance.

Car parking will be available at both Bogbeth Park and the Bennachie Lodge.

Participants are also invited to visit the Bennachie Lodge after the walk to receive 25 per cent off their lunch.

A bouncy castle and resident disco will also feature in the Bennachie Lodge beer garden (weather permitting).

There is a £5 registration fee which will go directly to CLAN Cancer Support.

For more information on the event or to register for the walk please visit www.thepurplewalk.co.uk.

The Purple Walk is being kindly sponsored by Fitness Classes with Jackie and the Bennachie Lodge.
