Comedy and jazz to the fore in Haddo Arts Festival

Comedy and jazz will feature in Shades – Haddo Arts Festival which was officially launched last Friday.

TV funnyman Lee Hurst and jazz combos The Alison Burns Trio and Trio Red will appear over two nights in the historic Hall next month.

Lee has appeared on many stand-up shows and panel games on television. He is known throughout the comedy business as someone who can pull laughs out of thin air with his razor sharp ability to improvise and ad lib comedy on the spot.

He has starred in BBC 1’s ‘Have I Got News for You” and ‘They Think its All Over’ and is a regular guest on ITV’s “The Wright Stuff”.

The Haddo date is part of his current UK-wide tour entitled “Things that Make You Go Aaaggh!!!”

Scottish-Canadian jazz singer Alison Burns is prominent on the circuit and is critically acclaimed.

Alison’s trio performs alongside Trio Red, more experimental they are also critically acclaimed.

The hall at Haddo will be transformed into a 50s style jazz club for the night with round tables and waitress service. Tickets are limited for the exclusive event.

Lee Hurst; Thursday, October 9, at 8pm, Haddo House Hall. Adults £16. Suitable for 16s and over.
