Fyvie Live is back by popular demand after its inaugural event last year was a resounding success.

Topping the bill in 2012 is superstar, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who is sure to work the Fyvie Live crowd into a frenzy with her much-loved hits and high-energy charisma and charm. This year’s fantastic line up will also include live performances from Scottish super group Breabach; up and coming singer, Stephen Innes, the wildly entertaining cover band the Bogus Brothers; as well as a showcase of budding North-east talent.

The event, in aid of Friends of ANCHOR, comes in the 15th anniversary of the Aberdeen-based cancer charity which directly supports the main cancer care NHS facility in the North-east, the ANCHOR Unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Sarah-Jane Milne, PR and fundraising manager for Friends of ANCHOR, commented: “To follow the the success of last year’s event has been no easy feat but we’re on course to make Fyvie Live 2012 even bigger and better. We’re looking forward to welcoming people once more to the lawns of Fyvie Castle which is certainly one of the country’s most spectacular back drops for an open-air music concert.”

Event organiser, George Walker said: “We are delighted to be back again. We have a better line up than ever, so we are very excited about it.

“The weather too is sorted. We’ve ordered the same weather as we had last year - it’s all booked.”

Friends of ANCHOR chairman, Jim Milne, said: “Hosting the first Fyvie Live last year was an incredibly special event to be part of and we’re delighted to be able to bring it to the North-east once again.”
