Inverurie set for firework spectacular

This year’s Inverurie and District Bonfire & Fireworks Night will be held on Saturday, November at the Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, with doors opening at 5.30pm.

The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm with the fireworks starting at 7pm. Following his amazing display last year, organisers have invited back local Inverurie lad and Pyro Olympic Gold Medalist, Neil Ross.

The Inverurie Round Table Fireworks Convener, Tim Waters, said “Following the great success of previous years, we aim to host another fantastic family display for the spectators attending. Fingers crossed that we get a clear dry night again so everyone can come and enjoy the show. We look forward to seeing what Neil has in store for us this year after his show stopping grand finale of last year”.

“Each year, the small profit made from the event is put back into the funds for the following year’s display, and any excess is donated to local Inverurie and District causes. We urge all spectators to arrive early as we work a first- in first-out system, so those arriving last will be last to leave. If you arrive late, then please be patient with the stewards and police as those who arrived first are allowed to leave first”.
