KINTORE Rotarians are hoping to boost their numbers at a meeting organised for later this month.
The club will be hosting a new members evening in the Thainstone House Hotel on Thursday, February 23, at 7pm for 7.30pm.
The Kintore group was formed in 2007 and has a membership of 24 - but club officials are keen to recruit more members.
Press officer Kenny Thomson said: “We are always looking to expand and thought this would be a good way of doing it.
“We are hoping that members will bring along a guest on the night and that they will want to join us.”
Meanwhile, the Rotarians are urging people to look out unused bicycles that are in a reasonable condition to help needy children in Africa. They should be suitable for children aged from 10 up to adult size.
As part of the initiative “Bikes 4 Africa”, run by the charity Jolerider and the Rotary, people are being encouraged to bring their unused bikes along to Kintore Public Hall on Saturday, February 18. Rotarians will be there from 9.30am.
