PHILIP Raskin, renowned Scottish landscape and seascape painter will be giving a painting demonstration at gallery i on Saturday, November 17.
The artist, who trained at Glasgow School of Art, will give art enthusiasts a rare glimpse into how he creates his highly unique and thickly textured paintings.
Philip will be at the gallery from 2pm until 5pm and during this time he will create an entire painting from scratch using acrylic oil paints and employing a ‘wet on wet’ technique. There will also be an Exhibition of his original paintings.
Commenting on the forthcoming event, spokesman Mark Gask said: “We are delighted to welcome Philip Raskin back to the gallery. He is such an enthusiastic personality and a highly skilled artist. To watch a painting being created in front of your very own eyes is such an amazing experience and a true privilege. This event is open to everyone and will appeal to anyone who enjoys art.”
