INVERURIE is set to host the third 10K Twilight Walk in aid of Cancer Research UK, on Friday, May 11, starting at 10pm.

This year the event will once again start and finish at the Garioch Sports Centre and is open to men and women aged 16 and over. Participants will be treated to live entertainment before the walk and complimentary tea / coffee, home bakes and biscuits in the sports centre after the walk.

In the previous two years the event has raised over £45,000 and the organisers are hoping this year’s event will once again exceed expectations and are encouraging participants to get involved.

460 participants took part last year raising an incredible £28,500 for Cancer Research UK’s life saving work.

The website, has been updated with all the information required for this year’s event, including how to register online and set up a JustGiving page, paper registration forms are also available, as well as sponsor forms, a map of the route, photos from 2011 and lots more.
