TIMES and Herald readers have a chance to win two tickets to see ‘The Ladykillers’ at His Majesty’s Theatre on November 17 for free!

Monday, 29th October 2012, 4:00 am

From the writer of Father Ted, Graham Linehan, comes a hilarious and thrilling new adaptation of the celebrated Ealing comedy The Ladykillers, directed by Sean Foley (The Play What I Wrote). Starring Michele Dotrice (Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em), Shaun Williamson (Extras and EastEnders) and Clive Mantle (Casualty and The Vicar of Dibley).

Posing as amateur musicians, Professor Marcus and his gang rent rooms in the lopsided house of sweet but strict Mrs Wilberforce.

The villains plot to involve her unwittingly in Marcus’ brilliantly conceived heist job.

The police are left stumped, but Mrs Wilberforce becomes wise to their ruse and Marcus concludes that there is only one way to keep the old lady quiet....!

With only her parrot, General Gordon, to help her, Mrs Wilberforce is now alone with five desperate men. But who will be forced to face the music?

Tickets are available from Aberdeen Performing Arts, at or by phoning 01224 641122.
