Police Scotland is investigating a series of attempted thefts and a theft in Kemnay which occurred during the early hours of Tuesday, August 2.
Four separate properties within the town were accessed earlier today and as a result one mountain bike was stolen which was recovered nearby.
Sergeant Gavin Grant, of the Community Policing Team based at Inverurie said: "A group of four males were seen in the area, who may be able to assist us with our investigation and enquiries are ongoing to identify them.
"If anyone saw or heard anything suspicious in the Milton Drive area of Kemnay or surrounding streets, particularly around the hours of 5am - 5.30am, I would urge then to get in contact with us as soon as possible.
"I would also like to remind the public of the importance of securing, cars, sheds, garages and their homes ,which has been shown to act as an effective deterrent. Just a simple turn of a key to lock your property will help ensure you are not the victim of this type of crime.
"Unfortunately, we see periodic instances of this type of crime throughout Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.
"I would like to reassure the public that Police Scotland takes this matter extremely seriously and we will continue to actively target those criminals responsible for these crimes as well as maintaining a high visibility presence in an around the towns and villages of Aberdeenshire."
Anyone with information relating to these incidents is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or if they wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
