Business leaders will put the future of the North-east’s transportation infrastructure under the spotlight next month.
It will come under focus at a business breakfast organised by Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce (AGCC).
Chair, Carol Benzie, commercial director at Aberdeen International Airport, will be joined by three prominent industry leaders from all areas of the sector.
They will team up to share expertise and consider the outlook for transport in the City and Shire.
Key speaker Duncan Cameron, director & general manager at First Aberdeen Ltd, will explain how they can reduce congestion and how this benefits their customers.
Through various initiatives and company projects, the public is poised to play a pivotal role in First Group’s success.
Steve Montgomery, ScotRail managing director, will talk about his company’s record and the industry’s challenges. He will describe how ScotRail is more than a transport operator, and how it plays a key economic role.
Colin Parker, Aberdeen Harbour chief executive, will round off by clarifying the current geographical and operational restrictions that led the board to investigate its options.
The consultation has yielded some interesting potential expansion plans and Mr Parker will outline the current preferred option.
The Transport Business Breakfast event will run from 7-9am on Thursday, July 4, at The Thistle Altens Hotel, Aberdeen. For further details visit the events section of the Chamber’s website www.agcc.co.uk
