The owners of an Inveurie hotel have announced that it is under new management.
Dutch hotelier Pim Wolfs has been appointed general manager of Macdonald Pittodrie House, on the outskirts of the town.
He joins the group after six-and-a-half years at Raymond Blanc’s flagship hotel and internationally-renowned cookery school, Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, in the Oxford area.
Mr Wolfs, who has more than 20 years’ experience in both boutique and large chain venues, said: “Le Manoir is synonymous with outstanding dining and the highest class of hospitality, making it the perfect training ground for my new role.
“Both properties share a similar ethos, especially in areas like sustainability, local supply chain and seasonality, the only difference being one has made the journey to excellence and the other is aiming to get there.
“This venue has enormous potential that I am eager to exploit and proud to be associated with.”
Stephen Williams, regional managing director, added: “Pim’s appointment demonstrates the ongoing commitment of Macdonald Hotels to place great people at the core and heart of our business.
“His focus on driving the quality and standards to an even higher level alongside his understanding of what the customer wants and needs, will truly enhance the overall guest experience at Macdonald Pittodrie House.”
