Lochter Activity Centre in Oldmeldrum has been shortlisted for a top honour in this year’s Aberdeen City and Shire Tourism Awards.
The centre is contesting the Best Outdoor/Adventure category
The popular Lochter centre has been open for more than 14 years and features an extensive list of exciting and adventurous activities.
It has the widest range of outdoor pursuits in the North-east with some of the more popular ones including karting on the 1.5km Lochterstone track, angling, clay pigeon shooting and Segway Slalom.
A spokesperson for the centre said: “The news of being shortlisted has come as an absolute delight to the staff.
“The team at Lochter are looking forward to the possibility of winning this award and recognition for a lot of the hard work that has been put into the centre over the many years.”
Winners will be announced at a special ceremony to be held in Aberdeen’s Ardoe House on November 27.
All category winners will go on to the Thistle Awards which will be announced in 2016.
