An Aberdeenshire hotel has unveiled £4.5 million expansion plans and a jobs boost.
Meldrum House is lining up a new state-of-the-art conference and banqueting suite and an additional 28 luxury guest bedrooms.
The investment at Scotland’s current AA Hotel of the Year will create an entirely new wing, as well as increase the number of bedrooms to 51.
Due for completion in June next year, the project will create an additional 15 jobs, bringing the total number of staff to more than 100.
Meldrum House CEO Andy Burgess said: “The new function suite will provide us with the ability to offer three conference rooms, more than double our bedroom capacity as well as provide a banqueting suite with capacity for up to 200 people which will be unrivalled for the area.
“It will make a perfect venue, in a tranquil environment for conferences, meetings, weddings and events coupled with world-class accommodation. The development will also be marketed to new visitors from all over the world.”
