Inverurie Events is currently inviting sponsors from the local business community, Inverurie Events members and their associated organisations and groups to sponsor a Christmas light for a period of ten years.
For some months now Inverurie Events members have been working to ensure Inverurie has much improved lights this Christmas and are upgrading 44 lights, to LED, using their own designs and frames.
Inverurie Events Secretary, Neil Baillie said: “To this end we have entered into a contract with Scotia Animations an Aberdeen based company. They have agreed to store, upgrade, transport, install and maintain our lights and do all this will require funding in the region of £18,000.
In addition to assistance with the fundraising we are seeking sponsorship for our lights. This is open not just to the business community but to organizations and schools. It is also open to individuals either singly or in groups. For the sum of £400 the sponsor will secure a light for a period of ten years, the estimated life of a light.”
Sponsors will receive local publicity, a small plaque publicly displayed for the period the light is up and an opportunity to use “their” light in any of their own publicity.
Anyone wishing to take up this offer is asked to return their details with a cheque for £400 made payable to Inverurie Events.
