Collieston and Slains SWI November meeting covered plans for next March’s cooperative entry for the Ellon Bulb and Handicrafts Show which will focus on the theme of celebration.
A subcommittee was formed to push this forward.
The previous weekend’s Ruralympics competition was discussed (our team didn’t cover itself in glory) and arrangements were made for attending the Inverurie Panto on December 14.
Members decided democratically not to have an extra Christmas party meeting on December 7 for those not attending the Panto.
The meeting was then turned over to a hands-on crafting experience. The three crafts on offer were Crochet led by Chris Stewart, Decoupatch led by Nora Harper and Iris Folding Christmas cards led by May Irvine.
Some lovely results were achieved as well as much enjoyment.
A delicious spread was then provided by our president Irene Smith and while the raffle was drawn, Nora Harper gave a vote of thanks, wishing Christmas cheer to those not attending the Panto as the next meeting will be January 11, when Fiona Mackie will demonstrate Cake Pops.
