Police Scotland is appealing for information after a theft at Co-op on North Street, Inverurie.

The shop was broken into at around 1am on Sunday, July 10, and various bottles of alcohol were stolen.

PC Suzanne Gardiner who is investigating the incident said: "We understand that there was a group of young males standing outside of the shop at the time of the incident aged in their late teens or early twenties.

"There were also members of the public around the area at that time who had been in the British Legion, Wetherspoons and Inverurie own centre, who may have useful information about the incident.

"If anyone remembers seeing anyone outside of the Co-op the early hours of Sunday morning or who may have heard or seen anything I would ask then to come forward."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they wish to remain anonymous.

The value of items stolen is estimated to be worth a low two figure sum of money.
