Police seek witnesses to Inverurie and Meldrum thefts

OFFICERS from the Garioch Community Policing Team are appealing for witnesses following a theft from a business property at the Bourtie Business Park in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire.

The incident is believed to have happened between 2am and 2.35am on Monday, September 9, and as a result of the incident, electrical equipment with an estimated mid-four figure value was stolen.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area at the time or who has suspicions about electrical items that may have been offered for sale.

• Officers in Oldmeldrum are appealing for information following a number of thefts from industrial premises in the Oldmeldrum area.

The incidents happened between 5.30pm on Friday, (September 6) and 12.30am on Monday, (September 9), at Meadows Industrial Estate, the Station Road area and the Station Yard area.

As a result of these incidents, a number of electrical and agricultural items with a total estimated value of low four figure sum.

Police would like to speak with anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Oldmeldrum area between the evening of Friday (September 6) and the morning of Monday (September 9), specifically if anyone saw a white van being driven in the area.

Anyone who sees a vehicle in suspicious circumstances is encouraged to call Police Scotland and if possible provide a registration number of the vehicle. Members of the public are asked to contact Police Scotland or Crimestoppers.
