a TARVES pharmacy at the centre of local criticism following closure of the village surgery, has been vandalised.
Lindsay Craig arrived at work on Monday to discover that vandals had stolen letters from the shop’s sign, leaving the words ‘are harm’ above the door.
Ms Craig said the attack had been preceded by snowballs being thrown, and the letters in question being tampered with.
She said: “We ignored it, but when we came in on Monday there was severe damage to the sign. It’ll probably cost around £1000 to fix, as the lettering has to be a specific font in keeping with the conservation area. It’s just heartbreaking.”
