Inverurie Day Centre is holding a ‘bloomin great tea party’ next week (Monday, July 11) over four days until July 14 from 1.30pm to 2.30pm to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The annual event raises money for the charity each year and hopes to top its target of £200, which will be helped along by the kind donation of shortbread from Deans of Huntly.
Volunteers, staff and families of service users have been making cakes to sell to for a donation of at least £1.
Over 100 people are expected to attend the tea party over the four days including service users and volunteers.
The money raised will go towards funding for Marie Curie nurses across the UK to help nurse people in their own homes. Every £20 raised pays for one hour of nursing care.
