The final touches are being applied to the £36 million Ellon Academy Community Campus.
The Cromleybank complex will open at the beginning of the school term on Thursday, August 20.
Facilities include a 1,200-capacity school, swimming pool, community, learning and development facilities as well as an outreach training facility for North East Scotland College.
A busy programme of events for the public is being lined up before the grand opening.
Aberdeenshire Council’s education, learning and leisure committee chair Councillor Alison Evison said: “The finishing touches are now being put in place for the community campus in Ellon.
“Members of the community have watched the project take shape with great anticipation. The campus will form a most valuable part of the leisure, health and wellbeing offering in the area.
“A series of events is being planned for everyone and I am sure people are looking forward to seeing inside the campus facilities.”
The events will include open days and evenings which will take place from Monday, August 3 to Friday, August 7 with presentations and tours of the school, community and leisure facilities for pupils and their parents or carers.
A public open day is planned on Saturday, August 15, with staff from Ellon Academy along with lifelong learning and leisure colleagues.
An official opening ceremony is being finalised to take place in September.
