Kintore Primary School news

Primary 4/5 of Kintore Primary School are holding a Business Breakfast tomorrow (Friday) from 8.30am till 10.30am in the school.

Their topic this term is ‘The Apprentice’ and they are learning about business, jobs and work, and they are particularly interested in local businesses.

The school is extremely grateful to have speaker, George Yule, at the Business Breakfast. Mr Yule is a successful businessman who is currently executive Chairman of Aberdeen Football Club and President of Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce. Please feel free to pop along – you maybe lucky enough to get a free breakfast as well as chat to the young entrepreneurs of the future.

The School has managed to reach its target of £7,000 for Mary’s Meals. The whole school has been involved in raising money for this worthwhile charity over the last couple of years to build a kitchen for a school in Malawi. This has been a favourite charity of the children. In the past they have made up back packs for other pupils in Africa. The school is very pleased and proud of this huge achievement.

Both sessions of the school nursery performed their Nativity yesterday. The children had been busy practising hard before performing to their parents and family.

All Primary 2 classes will be performing their nativities today (Thursday). Each class will perform at both 9.30am and 1.30pm and it will likely last 1 hour and 15 minutes. The pupils’ have chosen their Christmas Charities – Kayleigh’s Wee Stars (linked to a former teacher at the school) CLAN.

The Primary 1 classes will be performing their Primary 1 Christmas Celebration on tomorrow (Friday) at 9.15 am.

Tickets will cost £1.00 each and money raised will also go to the above charities as chosen by the pupils.

After the performance, which should last around 30 – 40 minutes, guests of P1A and P1B will be invited to have coffee and a mince pie whilst the parents of P1C and P1D visit the classroom. After 30 minutes or so they will swap around.
