An Ellon firm are continuing to expand as they announce plans to open premises in Asia.
BrewDog aims to open another bar in Tokyo, in the Roppongi district of the city, in March 2014.
The local brewery launched its twelfth bar in Britain last week in London’s Shepherd’s Bush, with plans to open at least another five in the next six months across the UK and abroad.
BrewDog Tokyo is the second international bar announced, following the opening of BrewDog Stockholm earlier this year.
Plans don’t stop there as the firm have also started work on a new site in the Pinherios area of Sao Paulo which is due to launch early 2014.
BrewDog co-founder James Watt said: “Launching bars outside of Europe is a huge step towards taking the craft beer revolution global.
“The craft beer scene has really blown up in some unexpected destinations in recent years and it’s amazing how people from around the world have taken to a small brewery from Aberdeen.
“Three years ago we never imagined we’d now be planning to open a bar in Tokyo or Sao Paulo, and it’s a testament to the passion and loyalty of our beer fans and Equity Punks.”
The brewery announced record growth for the fifth year and is on track to turnover £19 million this year.
