The owner of Ellon’s first delicatessen has praised the support she has received from Business Gateway.
Delica owner, Susan Caddell - who works in the oil and gas industry - opened the store in February with a little help from the experts in business.
Susan said: “I signed the lease on my 50th birthday last October and since then it’s been a real whirlwind,
“Business Gateway has been fantastic and Liz, my business adviser helped me focus and gave lots of start-up advice regarding my business plan.
“As time has gone on I’ve found that extra level of support really useful and it’s great to know that Liz is there if I ever need to pick up the phone.”
Located on Union Lane, Delica offer a wide selection of artisan cheeses, exotic meats and gourmet food swaps, as well as goat meat and showcase a selection of works from local artists.
Business Adviser, Business Gateway Aberdeen City and Shire, Liz Pirrie, added: “Delica has brought something new and exciting to the local community and it’s wonderful to see that the business is doing well. We will continue to support Susan as she develops her venture further.”
