An Ellon businessman has became one of the first graduates from a North-east networking academy.
Phil Anderson of Phil Anderson Financial Services recently completed the Networking Academy scheme at Aberdeen Business Network (ABN).
The local adviser collected a graduation certificate in recognition of his efforts.
Phil said: “The Networking Academy is a great way of further developing your business development and communication skills.”
Award-winning entrepreneur Andrew Smith is ABN director - who also look after the 4,000 plus member website: ABNCommunity.com. The ABN Networking Academy launched earlier this year aiming to help members become more effective at business networking on online platforms as well as offline.
Andrew said: “It follows a 10-stage programme designed to help members develop their skills. This includes networking events, training workshops, a networking audit, practical experience and one-on-one assessment.
“The initial feedback has been excellent.”
Judith MacDonald, of Contempo Property, graduated alongside Phil. She said: “I’ve found the structure of the programme to be very beneficial in helping me become a more effective networker. I’d definitely recommend it to others.”
Two more members are expected to complete the programme this year. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01224 619822.
